PHOTOREJUVENATION / IPL
Kybella is the first FDA approved injectable treatment to improve the appearance of moderate to severe fat beneath the chin by physically destroying fat cells. The injection process takes 15 to 20 minutes. Up to 6 treatments may be administered, spaced no less than one month apart.
Photorejuvenation/IPL produces younger and healthier looking skin. Improvement in redness, the appearance of rosacea, brown spots, sun damage, skin texture, and collagen structure may be expected. 3 to 6 sessions are typically needed to achieve the best correction with periodic maintenance. Patients can not have any tan to the skin, including the use of self-tanner. Fall and winter months are the most popular time of the year to receive this treatment.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Sculptra Aesthetic is another injectable option, but unlike dermal fillers (hyaluronic acid base), Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid based treatment, that works deep within the skin to stimulate collagen production, reinforcing the skin’s inner structure and restoring its volume. Sculptra works subtly and gradually over time for results that can last more than 2 years.
Juvederm®, Voluma®, Restylane® - Are injectable dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid used to correct the smile lines, frown lines, marionette lines, lips, and cheek volume.
Botox® and Dysport® - Are commonly used to soften facial lines caused by repeated contraction of certain muscles. These lines, which give a tired or angry appearance, are most noticeable on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes.
Laser Hair Removal targets melanin in the hair follicle, disabling it from further growth and putting an end to routine shaving, irritation, and waxing. Hair will decrease in density after each session and become lighter and finer. 6 to 8 treatments are needed to permanently reduce hair growth with periodic maintenance. This treatment does not work effectively for blonde or grey hair.
Patients need to trim or shave before treatment. No plucking, waxing, or use of depilatory creams 2 weeks before appointment and through the duration of treatments.
If using Retin- A or any similar product, discontinue use 3 days prior to treatment on face to help reduce sensitivity and redness.
SkinPen Microneedling treatment encourages the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro- “injuries” in the skin, which triggers new collagen synthesis, yet does not pose the risk of permanent scarring. The result is smoother, firmer and younger–looking skin. 3 to 6 treatments recommended, spaced 4 weeks apart.
Dermatology, Surgical, Aesthetic, and Cosmetic Services
Vbeam treats vascular lesions and conditions. It improves facial redness, facial telangiectasias, rosacea, port wine stain, and cherry angiomas. Red keloidal or thickened scars may be faded and softened. Best results may require 3 to 6 treatment sessions with periodic maintenance.
Ultherapy is the only non-invasive procedure that is FDA –cleared to lift the Neck, Chin, and Brow. This is an ultrasound procedure that stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin deep within the skin. Ultherapy non- surgically lifts and tightens skin tissue with little to no downtime. Patients may experience some redness, swelling, tingling or tenderness to the touch for the first month. Temporary post-procedural side effects include small areas of bruising and numbness. Results reveal a lifting or tightening of the skin over 3-6 months.
